consecrationscotland2017All roads lead to Carfin Grotto on Sunday 3rd Sept. for Scotland and her beloved Church are to be consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary  in Our Lady of Fatima’s Centenary Year. The act of consecration will be carried out by the country’s bishops at the national Marian shrine at Carfin.

Our UCM are organising a bus to leave from the Church on Sun 3 Sep at 1pm prompt & return approx. 7pm  £3  – full cost will be subsidised by Parish.

40 Day spiritual preparation programme

How we prepare for this act of Consecration is very important. Bishop John has asked us to take part in a 40 Day spiritual preparation programme.  It consists of a number of ways in which we can prepare, including prayer, fasting, almsgiving and helping others in need.

“Here is a forty day programme of Spiritual Preparation, kind of like an extraordinary Lent, which was sent to me. I shall be doing it daily and warmly invite everyone of you to join me. The consecration depends on fervent national preparation.   + John Keenan”
